How to check your CS2 inventory value
· By the CSNetWorth team
To check what the Counter-Strike 2 items in a Steam inventory are worth, paste the profile's SteamID64, profile URL or vanity name into CSNetWorth. The tool reads the public CS2 inventory and adds up cached Steam Community Market reference prices in USD. You do not need to sign in with Steam, share an API key or give a trade URL.
CS:GO or CS2? Counter-Strike 2 replaced CS:GO in 2023 and existing CS:GO items carried over, so "CS:GO inventory value" and "CS2 inventory value" mean the same items today.
Step 1: Find the profile identifier
Any one of these formats works. Replace the placeholders with the real profile:
- SteamID64 — a 17-digit number such as
7656119XXXXXXXXXX. - Profile URL with ID —
https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/7656119XXXXXXXXXX - Custom (vanity) URL —
https://steamcommunity.com/id/your-custom-name - Vanity name on its own —
your-custom-name
The vanity name is the part after /id/ in a custom profile URL. It is not always the same as the display name shown on the profile, which can be changed at any time and is not unique. If a name does not resolve, paste the full profile URL instead.
Step 2: Make sure the inventory is public
CSNetWorth can only read inventories Steam shows to everyone. The owner of the account can check this in their Steam privacy settings (sign-in happens on Steam's own site, never on CSNetWorth). See inventory not loading for details.
Step 3: Paste it and read the result
Paste the identifier on the home page and press Check My Real Value. The result page shows each item, its cached reference price, the estimated total and how many items have a price. You can share the result link.
What is counted
- Only CS2 items (Steam app 730) — not Dota 2, Team Fortress 2 or other games' items.
- Only items Steam marks as marketable. Untradeable-forever items such as most service medals and coins are excluded.
- Duplicates are counted: three identical cases count three times.
- Not the value of the games you own — this is not a Steam account or library value calculator.
Worked example (synthetic numbers)
The figures below are made up to show the arithmetic only. They are not current prices.
| Item (example) | Qty | Price used | Subtotal |
|---|---|---|---|
| Example rifle skin | 1 | $12.00 (lowest listing) | $12.00 |
| Example weapon case | 3 | $0.50 (lowest listing) | $1.50 |
| Example sticker | 2 | $1.20 (median, no lowest) | $2.40 |
| Example pin | 1 | No cached price | not included |
Estimated total = 12.00 + 1.50 + 2.40 = $15.90, covering 3 of 4 unique items. The pin is not worth $0 — it simply has no cached price yet, so the total is a partial estimate. The full rules are on the methodology page.
What the number means
The total is a reference estimate from Steam Market listings, not an offer and not cash. Read Steam Market value vs. cash value before using it to plan a sale.
